From chami cheese salad to Emirati sticky date pudding, this chef-led menu is making its final cinema rounds before 31 October.
If you haven’t yet swapped your popcorn for something homegrown, time is running out.
Emirati Chefs x VOX, the limited-edition menu that brought Emirati culinary talent to THEATRE by VOX Cinemas, is in its final month, with the dishes available only until 31 October 2026.
The collaboration pairs VOX Cinemas with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and is part of Dubai SME’s Emirati Chef’s Table programme run with Kitopi, which mentors Emirati food entrepreneurs and opens up new routes to market. Here, that means taking their creations beyond the restaurant’s tables and into the hands of thousands of cinemagoers.
The menu consists of three creative dishes, all by Emirati chefs. Twins Abdulrahman and Maitha Al Hashmi, billed as the youngest qualified Emirati chefs in the UAE and the wider Middle East, created a Date & Chami Cheese Salad and Slow-Cooked Beef Short Ribs, pairing traditional ingredients with contemporary technique. Pastry chef Ahmad Al Fardan, who trained in Dubai and Switzerland, rounds off the menu with an Emirati Sticky Date Pudding.
The collaboration launched at VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates, back in July, with a Chef’s Table preview ahead of the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, before rolling out to participating THEATRE locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
