Spotify has launched SongDNA in beta, a new feature built into the Now Playing view that lets Premium users explore the full creative picture behind any track they are listening to.
With SongDNA, you can see the writers, producers, and collaborators behind a song, trace the samples and interpolations that shaped its sound, and browse the covers it inspired. From there, you can tap into any contributor and follow their connections outward, discovering the wider network of artists and projects they have been part of.

The feature is powered in part by WhoSampled, the music credits database that Spotify acquired last year, which tracks over 1.2 million songs and 622,000 samples.
Here is how to access it:
- While listening to a song in the Spotify mobile app, open the Now Playing view
- Scroll down to find the SongDNA card on supported tracks
- Tap in to explore the song’s collaborators, samples, interpolations, and covers
SongDNA is available now in the UAE and Saudi Arabia across Premium Lite, Premium Standard, and Premium Platinum tiers. The beta is rolling out globally on iOS and Android, with full availability expected throughout April.
