J. Balvin and Jordan Brand have unveiled a friends and family edition of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG tied to Balvin’s latest collaborative album, ‘Omerta’. According to Sole Retriever, the pair is limited to just 100 units and will not be released to the public.

First spotted at the ‘Omerta’ listening party, the collab draws directly from Balvin’s original Air Jordan 1 collaboration – the multi-colour, triangle-cut Air Jordan 1 OG High – and renders it entirely in black. The silhouette retains the jagged triangular paneling and canvas construction of the original whilst shifting the colourway to an all-black palette.

The upper is covered in black canvas from toe to heel, with leather paneling added around the Swoosh and along the ankle collar. Triangle-cut edges appear around the toebox, Swoosh, and ankle, consistent with Balvin’s first Jumpman collab. In place of the patches found on the rainbow retail pair, a smiley face logo from Balvin appears on the tongue tag, whilst an Omerta logo is featured on the lateral ankle.

The J. Balvin x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Omerta Friends and Family edition is limited to 100 pairs and will not be made available to the public.
