Disney+ and Chef Halawa Served Up a Daredevil-Themed Supper Club in Dubai

Every course on the menu was named after an episode from Marvel Television’s season two on Disney+

Hell’s Kitchen made its way to Dubai this week, by way of a tasting menu.

To mark the run-up to the season finale of Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 on Disney+, an invite-only supper club themed around the series brought creators, media, and fans to a single long table for a multi-course menu built around the show.

The room was reworked with low red lighting and a darker visual setup that pulled from the show’s version of Hell’s Kitchen, with red chillies scattered across the table and the show’s score running underneath.

Ahmad Halawa, the Nablus-born chef behind one of Dubai’s most established supper clubs, has been hosting long Levantine tables, often using ingredients brought in directly from Palestine and Jordan. The Disney+ collaboration drew on that same Levantine vocabulary, with his signature dishes reframed around the show’s episode titles.

The menu followed an episode-style structure, with each of its eight courses named after a title from the season. The night opened with ‘The Northern Star’, a welcome drink, before moving into ‘Shoot The Moon’, a tomato gazpacho served with moon-cut croutons. ‘The Scales & The Sword’ arrived next, centred around charred aubergine, followed by ‘Gloves Off’, which served torched musakhan tacos. ‘The Grand Design’ brought a charred hispi cabbage course, with ‘Requiem’ acting as a palate cleanser. ‘The Hateful Darkness’ closed out the savouries with a branded Disney+ kunafeh, and the night ended with ‘The Southern Cross’, a final round of Arabic coffee or tea.

References to the show appeared across the room rather than just on the plate, including in the menu design, lighting, soundtrack, and visual details spread throughout the space. The sequencing of dishes echoed the structure of the season itself, course by course.

Season two of Daredevil: Born Again sees Mayor Wilson Fisk tightening his grip on New York City as he targets Daredevil through the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, pushing Matt Murdock to operate from the shadows. That darker, more political register sat behind the supper club’s broader visual choices, from the lighting to the menu naming.

The eighth and final episode of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+, with all episodes available on the platform. And if you’re hungry for more, Marvel’s The Punisher: One Last Kill drops next Wednesday.

To win the chance to experience the supperclub first hand, Disney+ is opening up one night to fans. Keep an eye out for the competition running across our channels here.
