Casita by Casa Amor is launching ‘Made in Dubai’, a new chef series centred around the city’s homegrown food concepts, and its first guest is Fusion Ceviche. Following the series’ first sold-out evening, Chef Penelope Diaz will join Chef Zouhair Bouhlal once again for a beachfront dinner celebrating Mediterranean and Peruvian flavours.

Meet the Chefs
Diaz’s story is the kind Dubai loves. She’s self-taught, started out cooking for friends in her apartment, turned that into a catering business, represented Peru at Expo 2020, and opened Fusion Ceviche in JLT in 2022. She still imports key ingredients from Peru, and four years on, her fresh and punchy ceviches are still the talk of the town.
Bouhlal’s food draws on both sides of his Moroccan-Italian heritage, with French techniques rounding out the mix. He’s spent over two decades cooking across Morocco, Italy, and France, and now leads the kitchen at Casa Amor, which, along Bouhlal himself, received La Liste’s Festive Gastronomic Restaurant Award this year. His signature dishes draw on ingredients he harvests himself, bringing depth of flavour and a longing for home to the table.
What to Expect?
Eleven courses, all made for sharing, from both kitchens. Add live bossa nova, Pisco Sour specials, and the sea just a few steps away, and you’ve got Friday sorted.
