The Saudi Arabian Formula 1 Grand Prix dropped a major announcement yesterday, revealing that Egyptian rap heavyweight Marwan Moussa will take over the Main Fan Zone Stage on Friday, April 17, 2026.
This marks yet another high-profile Saudi appearance for the Cairo-bred artist, who has become a regular fixture in the Kingdom’s biggest cultural events. Just last December, Moussa commanded the stage at Riyadh’s massive Soundstorm festival alongside global heavyweights like Eminem and A$AP Rocky, performing for a crowd of over 450,000 across three days. The 30-year-old rapper has been on a relentless tear throughout the region, with recent performances in Dubai and an upcoming slot at Riyadh’s Esports World Cup in August.
Moussa’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. In August 2025, he dropped his sixth studio album Matador — a bold 10-track project that arrived just three months after his critically acclaimed The Man Who Lost His Heart. The album showcases Moussa’s signature fusion of rap, electronic beats, and Egyptian folk instruments, including the mizmar, darbuka, and sagat, further cementing his reputation as one of Arabic hip-hop’s most innovative voices.
Currently the third most-streamed Arab rapper on Spotify, fans at the Saudi Arabian GP can expect an electrifying set packed with hits like “Tesla” and “Batal 3alam,” proving once again why he’s holding down the throne in Arabic hip-hop.
